Who is Sweet Root?

Sweet Root Village is an event floral design studio based in Alexandria, Virginia owned by Lauren Anderson and Rachel Bridgwood. Sweet Root is known for large installations, sharing openly about floral business, and creating a family friendly work environment for their team. Over the past 10 years, they have grown to an in-house team of six who lead over 80 weddings and events a year, and have been featured in Martha Stewart, Modern Luxury, Once Wed, Brides, and dozens of wedding and event publications.
"I love how Amy breaks down EVERYTHING that she's doing as she's doing it! So helpful to hear her thought process in that way, instead of just watching her design and try to figure out why she's doing things! I also appreciated the approach to ordering flowers when you don't have a market nearby, as that is something I've never seen another floral workshop touch on."
"It was mind blowing to see what I should be charging and gives me confidence to know that I can make enough money to not just survive but to make a good living! I was blown away the amount of information and things I had never heard before."
"Learning from Amy Nicole Floral + Sweet Root Village truly is like drinking from a fire hose. Having invested heavily in education over the past few years, I felt as though every course + workshop touched on the same information, and didn't have much to offer to a more seasoned florist. If you feel that education fatigue at all, this course is a breath of fresh air!"
"The transparency Lauren and Rachel offer in the course is remarkable. They speak with authentic voices throughout. They really encourage business owners to know their worth, which added an extra dimension of empowerment. I felt energized and invigorated after the course to make difficult changes in my own business."
"The color theory and ingredient curation portion of Amy's design lessons were invaluable. She has such a sophisticated eye for design and seeing her process was fascinating. I loved seeing everything come together, from how she built her initial vision, changes she made along the way, and then the final product. On top of all that, she peppered in so many helpful tips and tricks that I can't wait to start utilizing in my design work."
"Seeing a visual breakdown of the pricing and mark-up for each of the main floral items, rentals and labor was incredible. I have yet to see anyone else share pricing in such a clear and detailed layout! It's never too late to learn and gain new techniques, and just like Amy said, "Make Space to Slow Down and Study!"
